Mining company URU Metals has secured a £420,000 investment from a prominent institutional investor to accelerate exploration at its Zeb Nickel Project in Limpopo, South Africa.

The funding was raised through the issue of 12,000,000 new ordinary shares at 3.5 pence per share. Additional working capital has also been allocated. The proceeds will be used to conduct airborne electromagnetic surveys, perform advanced 3D geophysical modeling, refine the geological model and support high-impact drilling campaigns.

“With clear drill targets, regulatory momentum and advanced geophysical insights, we are on the cusp of defining a world-class nickel sulphide resource. We invite investors to join us on this exciting journey towards a major discovery,” stated John Zorbas, CEO, URU Metals.

Recent 3D studies by consulting firm Geofocus suggest the Zeb Nickel Project hosts a conduit-style sulphide system similar to South Africa’s Uitkomst Complex – a mine known for its rich nickel and platinum deposits. Four drill-ready targets were identified, with Targets 1 and 2 showing strong gravity and magnetic anomalies, indicating potential for massive sulphide mineralization. Target 4 is the densest and most promising. Drilling will explore depths from 100 m to over 800 m, targeting deeper, previously unexplored zones with high-grade nickel potential.
