The Energy Minute: Redstone Concentrated Solar Power Project, South Africa’s Largest Renewable Energy Project

The Redstone Concentrated Solar Power Project in South Africa is the first of its kind to be developed in Africa and is expected to bring additional power to the country’s energy network, while serving to diversify its energy mix and demonstrate South Africa’s commitment to the global energy transition.

Expected to achieve full commercial operation by the end of October 2023, the solar power project is developed by ACWA Power and SolarReserve, and funded by ABSA.
