
The Energy Minute: Cape Town’s Floating Solar Project Part of 2030 Carbon Neutral Plan

The City of Cape Town – South Africa’s first municipality to install a floating solar photovoltaic (PV) system – is currently completing an innovative 12-month research study in Cape Town’s Kraaifontein Wastewater Treatment Works, with the goal of building large-scale floating solar PV projects in the coming years.
The project has been developed in partnership with Floating Solar, the Water Research Commission, and the University of Cape Town.
