Tertiary Minerals Uncovers Promising Copper Anomalies at Zambia’s Mupala Project

Mineral exploration and development company Tertiary Minerals has completed its soil sampling program at the Mupala copper project in North-western Zambia.  

Results from the program reveal a promising copper-in-soil anomaly measuring approximately 1,800m by 600m, with a peak copper value of 422 parts per million.

“The anomaly confirms the prospectivity of the licence, which was originally indicated by historical data and its proximity to the Anglo American/Arc Minerals JV area. More work is required to determine the significance of this soil anomaly, but this is a very promising start to exploration at Mupala,” Executive Chairman of Tertiary Minerals Patrick Cheetham said.

Follow-up work, including trenching and drilling, is planned to further evaluate the anomaly, with some samples undergoing laboratory analysis for quality assurance.

The 41.2 km² Mupala Exploration Licence covers Zambia’s main copper mineralised horizon in the Lower Roan Subgroup.
