The Export – Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) has approved $297 million in financing for Angolan state-owned airline TAAG Angola. TAAG Angola will use the loan to import Boeing 787-10 passenger aircraft and spare engines from General Electric Aerospace.
The loan follows TAAG Angola‘s June 2025 signing of a cooperation agreement on fleet modernization with Boeing.
“With today’s approval, we are supporting the nation’s economic security while bolstering Angola’s economy through the export of these aircraft and engines,” stated James Cruse, Acting President and Chairman of EXIM.
