Sovereign Metals Launches Infill Drilling at Malawi Graphite Mine
Share This Article
Australian mining exploration and development company Sovereign Metals has launched an infill drilling program to support ongoing studies to upgrade the Kasiya Rutile-Graphite Project in Malawi.
The drilling program will focus on the southern part of Kasiya, specifically around the areas planned to supply ore in the first eight years of the project’s production schedule. Results from the resource upgrade are expected in early-2025.
Within these areas, ore reserves are expected to be upgraded from “probable” to “proven.” The current mineral resource estimate identifies extensive zones of high-grade rutile and graphite across a large area of more than 201 km².
