Geophysical and geological services firm GeoPartners – in partnership with state-owned Petroleum Directorate of Sierra Leone (PDSL) – has introduced a legacy 2D seismic dataset to the market. The dataset aims to attract investment in exploration, with the multi-client seismic model supporting investments offshore Sierra Leone.
Over 5,800 km of vintage 2D seismic dataset – originally acquired in the 1980s and reprocessed in the early 2000s – will now be available for review and licensing by interested companies.
“It is excellent to have the ability to promote this legacy dataset alongside our colleagues in Sierra Leone, which is perfect for Broadband Reprocessing. We’ve recently had lots of great conversations with clients interested in exploring offshore Sierra Leone…” said GeoPartners Director Jim Gulland.
The vintage dataset not only offers insights into the geological characteristics of the offshore area but also sets the stage for future exploration initiatives.
