Norwegian industrial group Scana has entered Namibia, following a rise in forecast drilling activity.
Scana has established its subsidiary PSW Technology – a service provider to the global drilling industry – anticipating a rise in demand for riser maintenance, capping stack and other services offshore Namibia. The southern African country is home to ongoing exploration and appraisal campaigns from TotalEnergies, Shell, Galp and ReconAfrica, with several new players entering the market in recent months.
“This strategic establishment is important for meeting our customers’ demand to deliver our high-quality services worldwide, especially offshore Namibia,” said Richard Cornell, Managing Director, PSW Technology.
