Australian mining firm Perseus Mining aims to produce between 515,000 and 535,000 ounces of gold annually over the next five years from its operations across Ghana, the Ivory Coast and Tanzania.

The company’s Yaouré Mine in the Ivory Coast is expected to contribute the largest share at 34% of the total production, while Ghana’s Edikan and Sissingué mines will account for 34% and 10%, respectively. Tanzania’s Nyanzaga Gold Project – whose construction began in April 2025 – is projected to contribute 28% of the planned output.

“In FY22, Perseus’s gold production reached approximately 500,000 ounces for the first time and set in train our ambition to maintain or exceed this level of production on a consistent basis going forward,” stated Jeff Quartermaine, CEO and Managing Director, Perseus.

The company expects to recover and process between 2.6 million and 2.7 million ounces of gold ore. Average production costs are estimated at $878 million or under $500 per ounce.
