The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), through its subsidiary NNPC Gas Marketing Limited, has signed a 10-year Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement with Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals, Nigeria’s largest refinery.
Under the agreement, NNPC will supply the refinery with 100 million standard cubic feet per day (mscf/d) of natural gas, including 50 mscf/d of firm supply and 50 mscf/d of interruptible supply. The agreement also includes an option to extend the contract beyond the initial 10 years.
Aligned with national goals to enhance natural gas monetization, the deal aims to boost production capacity and domestic gas consumption, with the supplied gas used for power generation and refinery feedstock.
