Namibia: Northern Ocean Secures Q4 – 2024 Contract for DeepSea Bollsta

International drilling contractor Northern Ocean has secured a contract to provide its Deepsea Bollsta drill rig for a subsidiary of a major operator in Namibia.

The contract, commencing in Q4 2024, is estimated to last 63 days and involves drilling a single well.

The Deepsea Bollsta has been active in Namibia’s Orange Basin for the past 18 months. Northern Ocean will conduct a five-year class survey to assess the rig’s condition before starting the new contract.
