The governments of Mozambique and Zimbabwe have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to deepen collaboration in electricity, petroleum and renewable energy.
Zimbabwe will increase its fuel imports from Mozambique from 3 billion to 5 billion liters per year, as part of the deal signed by Estêvão Pale, Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Mozambique and July Moyo, Minister of Energy and Power Development, Zimbabwe.
The two countries will also identify areas for joint project collaboration in the natural gas and electricity generation sectors.
“Our technical teams have worked tirelessly to ensure this partnership explore every possible area of energy collaboration,” Minister Moyo stated.
