Morocco’s National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) has entered into a partnership with French oil and gas firm Storengy – Engie, a subsidiary of the ENGIE Group, to explore natural hydrogen in the Meseta Coastal region.
The agreement, signed by ONHYM CEO Amina BENKHADRA and Storengy – Engie CEO Alain Caracatzanis, paves the way for joint exploration in the Berrechid, Ben Slimane and Doukkala basins.
The collaboration aligns with ONHYM’s efforts to expand Morocco’s natural hydrogen sector.
