Morocco: Chariot Spuds New Onshore Well
Transitional energy firm Chariot has spud the RZK-1 well – the company’s first exploration well in 2024 – on the Gaufrette prospect located within Morocco‘s onshore Loukos license.
The drilling campaign targets 10 billion cubic feet (bcf) of potentially recoverable natural gas resources, yet Chariot’s plans to extend the depth of the well to target deeper reserves could unlock up to 26 bcf of estimated reserves in the wider region.
“We also continue to assess the prospectivity across this region, recognizing significant upside potential both near our prioritized well locations and beyond,” stated Duncan Wallace, Technical Director of Chariot.
