Libya, Algeria NOCs Sign 4 Cooperation Agreements

Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) and Algeria’s national oil company Sonatrach have signed four Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), aiming to expand cooperation across geophysical exploration, oilfield services, research and training.
The first MoU was signed between Sonatrach’s National Geophysical Company and NOC’s North African Geophysical Exploration Company. It focuses on collaboration in geophysical exploration activities.
The second agreement was concluded between Sonatrach’s National Well Services Company and Libya’s Al-Jouf Petroleum Technology Company. It aims to support the provision of oilfield services in Algeria, Libya, and other markets.
A third MoU was signed between the Exploration and Production – Laboratory Division of Sonatrach and the Petroleum Research Centre of the NOC. The agreement outlines joint research and development activities for future partnership projects.
The fourth MoU targets training and knowledge transfer. It was signed between Sonatrach and the NOC and aims to enhance capacity-building and skills development across various oil and gas disciplines.
The four agreements mark a continuation of the strategic partnership with Sonatrach and reflect shared objectives to advance technical cooperation and regional integration in the energy sector.
