Spanish energy solutions provider Himoinsa has delivered a 24 MW power plant for a metallurgical facility in Kouria, Guinea-Conakry. The installation is designed to mitigate frequent power outages affecting industrial activity and to ensure a stable electricity supply for the plant.

The company delivered a fully integrated solution consisting of 12 HTW 2030 T5 diesel generator sets, eight fuel tanks, step-down transformers, medium-voltage switchgear, as well as synchronization and fuel automation systems.

The system is designed to operate with parallel synchronization between the 12 generator sets. The configuration supports large-scale industrial operations, allowing for balanced load distribution and rapid response during peak demand.

To stabilize distribution, 0.4/20 kV transformers and medium-voltage equipment were installed. The installation also includes a SCADA remote supervision system that allows technicians to monitor and control the generators in real time from any location.
