Guinea-Conakry has secured €95.16 million in financing from the Economic Community of West African States Bank for Investment and Development to construct three micro-hydroelectric power plants in the Mamou region.

The facilities – located in Poukou, Bolokoun and Biwbaw – will add 30 MW to Guinea-Conakry’s generation capacity.

The projects will be spearheaded by the country’s Société de Gestion de l’Energie de Manantali, alongside local engineering and construction firms.
