International survey company Geoxyz has established its first African branch in Walvis Bay, Namibia as part of its global expansion strategy.

The new base will serve as a regional hub for southern Africa, offering tailored data services that include offshore hydrographic and geophysical surveys, as well as onshore infrastructure mapping for railroads and land development projects.

Geoxyz says it selected Namibia for its first African base owing to the country’s strategic location, favorable business environment and rising demand for offshore and onshore infrastructure services.

Jacques Vancayseele, Head of Geoxyz Namibia, said “This region holds immense potential, and with a dedicated local presence, we’re better positioned to deliver tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of our clients while contributing to local growth and development.”

The Walvis Bay office will operate closely with Geoxyz’s European branches as the company builds its local expertise, independence and talent base in Africa.
