Gambian President Adama Barrow has launched phase three of The Gambia’s national road infrastructure development project.
The project falls under the Gambia Integrated Urban Development Program, which includes OIC-funded road projects, as well as initiatives supported by the African Development Bank (AfDB) and other development partners.
The initiative aims to upgrade and construct key roads to improve connectivity between urban and rural areas, support trade and facilitate movement of people and goods across the country.
The announcement came during an inspection tour by the president and senior government officials across several road construction sites in the Greater Banjul Area and the West Coast Region, including Ebo Town.
The tour was designed to assess the progress of ongoing works, identify challenges and engage with affected communities.
