The parties seek to partner on agriculture and rural development projects, environmental sustainability and the blue economy, food security, vocational education and training, community health, and water and sanitation.

The partnership aims to improve the livelihoods of Mozambican communities, in line with both parties’ ESG commitments and contribution to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Eni is developing the Coral North Gas Project in Mozambique in addition to operating the Coral South project – Mozambique’s first LNG producer. The firm is also investing in agri-feedstock and carbon offset projects in the southern African country.
