Energy major Eni’s Congolese subsidiary has inaugurated the Yasika logistics platform, located at oilfield service company Saipem’s base in Pointe-Noire, the Republic of Congo.

Commissioned on June 11, the Yasika platform serves as the operational hub for Eni Congo’s onshore and offshore activities, ensuring the transit of equipment, materials and personnel.

The logistics platform also supports the Congo LNG project, including the Tango FLNG unit, already producing 0.6 million tons per year since December 2023, and the Nguya FLNG unit, expected to start production by the end of 2025.

The site spans 190,000 m² and includes a 285-meter quay, 1,000 m² of office space, 16,000 m² of covered areas and workshops, a jetty for marine transport and a treatment unit for drilling muds and cements.

Yasika also hosts the fabrication of midwater arch structures, built locally to support LNG transport infrastructure.
