Egyptian construction group Petrojet has signed a $21.76 million agreement with the Jordan National Shipping Lines company and the Jordan Liquefied Gas Manufacturing and Filling Company – a subsidiary of the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company – to construct LPG storage facilities in Aqaba, Jordan.
The project comprises the engineering, procurement and construction of two spherical tanks, each with a capacity of 2,000 tons of LPG storage. Operations are expected to commence in two years, supporting growing LPG demand in Jordan.
“The project represents a strategic move towards building an integrated system for LPG storage and distribution, reducing operational costs related to transporting LPG from Aqaba to consumption centers across the country,” stated Hassan Al-Hiyari, CEO, Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company.
