
Congo: TotalEnergies Announces $600M Plan for Moho Nord field

Global integrated energy firm TotalEnergies has announced a $600 million investment plan to bolster exploration and production in the Moho Nord field, offshore the Republic of Congo.
The investment will enable TotalEnergies to increase reserves and production by 40,000 barrel per day (bpd) in the field, increasing the Repubic of Congo’s total oil output to 267,000 bpd. Currently, the Moho Nord field produces 140,000 bpd, constituting about 50% of the country’s oil production.
The field has four reservoirs spanning over 320 km2 in water depths of 750m to 1,200m.
TotalEnergies holds a 63% operational stake in the Moho Nord field, following the acquisition of an additional 10% stake from independent oil and gas firm Trident Energy in April 2024.
