American multinational Chevron and Bachmus Oil & Fuel Supplies have entered into a long-term retail trademark licensing agreement to deliver Caltex-brand fuels in Namibia.
Under the agreement, Namibian oil and fuel supplier Bachmus will sell, market and distribute fuels under Chevron’s Caltex brand. Chevron aims to grow its portfolio in Namibia by expanding its Caltex-branded service station network across the country.
“Re-entering the Namibia retail market is a significant milestone for Chevron. Through a network of retail fuels sites nationwide, we plan to build the strength of the Caltex brand in close collaboration with Bachmus,” said Danielle Lincoln, Vice President of Chevron International Products.
In Namibia’s upstream sector, Chevron operates PEL 90 in the offshore Orange Basin and PEL 82 in the offshore Walvis Basin, after acquiring an 80% operating interest in the latter last April.
