Canadian mining firm B2Gold aims to produce between 970,000 and 1,075,000 ounces of gold in 2025, with the Fekola Mine in Mali set to drive the target.

Scheduled mining and processing from Fekola Phase 7 together with the start of operations at the Fekola Regional Zone in mid-2025 and initial gold mining from Fekola Underground will be crucial in meeting the target, according to B2Gold.

The company plans to process 9.56 million tons of ore at Fekola in 2025, with the mine’s capital expenditure expected at $234 million. Up to $9 million has been budgeted for exploration in Mali with a focus on the discovery of additional high-grade, sulphide mineralization across the Fekola Complex.

In 2024, B2Gold’s total production reached 804,778 ounces – generating $500 million in revenue – with Fekola contributing 392,946 ounces, while the Otjikoto in Namibia and Masbate in the Philippines contributed 198,142 ounces and 194,046 ounces, respectively.
