
Algeria Sees Increase in Chinese FDI

Chinese investment in Algeria has surged in recent years – with nearly $4.5 billion allocated across 42 industrial projects – according to data released by the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AIPA).
These investments comprise 22 direct projects and 20 joint ventures between Chinese and Algerian firms, with energy emerging as one of the key sectors receiving attention, alongside others.
According to the AIPA, over 12,800 projects valued at nearly $43 billion have been recorded since its establishment in late 2022.
