Algeria is seeking to strengthen its relations with Egypt and Qatar, with the countries pursuing strategic collaborations in the energy sector. 

The respective energy and petroleum ministers of Algeria, Egypt and Qatar met on December 16 in Kuwait, with discussions centered on strategies for enhancing energy cooperation, exploration, investment and regional collaboration.

For its part, Qatar aims to strengthen bilateral ties with Egypt in the exploration and production sectors. Discussions during the meeting covered ongoing and future projects, specifically in the Red Sea and Mediterranean. Qatar aims to unlock the full potential of the Western Mediterranean, given its significant potential.

Meanwhile, Egypt is looking at attracting fresh foreign investment across the exploration sector under efforts to boost production and resource development. Strengthened collaboration with Algeria and Qatar are expected to support these goals.
