AIC Develops 5 MW Solar Plant in Gambia

Turkish renewable energy company AIC is developing a 5 MW solar power plant in Tanji, The Gambia.

Additionally, AIC is currently financing a 540 kW solar project and has completed installations on an 80 kW system in Mandinary. Other projects in the pipeline include installations of 240 KW, 200 KW and another 5 MW facility

“We’re engaging local communities, offering training, using high-quality equipment, and supporting local businesses,” Elverir stated. “Our aim is not only to supply energy but also to empower people,” stated Dennis Elverir, Chief Executive Officer, AIC.

AIC’s projects aim to integrate directly with the national grid through NAWEC, with a 700 kW connection project already underway.
